Economic experience

My work experience as Head of Treasury at Alpha Bank Bulgaria has improved my analytical skills, leadership skills, my communication skills. 22 years of service I have in the banking system in different positions. I was Alpha Bank's Treasurer and chairman of the ALCO Committee for 12 years or, as is still known, the Committees of Assets and Liabilities. I had the right to signature "A" (the highest level) and I was directly subordinate to the CEO for Bulgaria.


I am currently working as a consultant. My total length of service is over 25 years.



Some interesting facts about my work experience:

 

•     BGN 3 200 000 000 - The largest amount of assets I have managed as Treasury of Alpha Bank
•     EUR 92,000,000 - the largest single transaction on the interbank market in the forex market
•     748 million euros - the largest amount of a single interbank market transaction - a deposit
•     EUR 914 000 000 - the largest amount of a single security transaction in which I have participated

As a Treasurer of Alpha Bank, I have managed liquidity for 12 years, including the crisis in the bankruptcy of Greece (like Treasurer of a Greek bank :) with all the cash outflows) and the crisis of the Greek banks. I also went as the Chief dealer of the Bank for agricultural credit during the crisis of the Bulgarian banks in 1997.

Experience in IT

Although I have no diploma for this since 1984, I work on computers and that is my great attraction. Back in 1984, I was writing BASIC programs about the school of a Pravetz 82, who told me whether to stay at home. Since then, this love for programming and applications has arisen.

I've worked on almost all versions of Windows from version 1 to 8, including Millennium, without Vista and 10. I know it well above the level of a regular user. Since 2006 I have been working on Linux as I've changed a lot of distributions, and I'm currently working on Debian-based Ubuntu.

I've been involved in a lot of projects during my career:

•     I participated in an international project for the introduction of bank software FLEXCUBE (installed in 450 of the largest banks in the world, such as City and others), such as Core Banking, FX and MM. The project was for 1 year and 4 months, 6 countries, 160 people. The migration was completely successful.
•     I was also a "project owner" for Bulgaria to centralize the Treasury activities for the entire Alpha group.
•     I was involved in the construction of the Financial Intermediary and the Securities Trading Unit at the bank, where I also had to buy and implement appropriate software.
